Today marks one year since I moved away from everything I ever knew to live with my Army husband. Who knew this year would be so full of so many new and wonderful things. I've lived in 3 different states and have see many others. I've decided today I will tell the story of how we found out we were pregnant.
The day was January 28th and my little friend did not make an appearance so immediately I thought, well this could be something big. We had our friend's baby shower in Seguin that day so we drove 2ish hours south and were so happy to see them again! Sunday came and still nothing so I asked Justin to pick up a test after he left work. He came home not much later and so then I took the test. We were together to see the instant results of positive but then waited the few minutes they say to anyways. We both didn't know what to think or say. They also say it's best to take the test in the morning and since this was the early afternoon we decided I'd take another test the next day. Monday morning came, Justin went to PT and when he came back it was time to take the second test. Again, positive right away. So later that day I went to the doctor to take a real test and I think we all know the outcome of that one. :) That was quite a memorable day. I sometimes wish that I would have been able to surprise Justin with the news in some cute way but really am happy we foundnd out together that first day. It really feels like forever ago that we found out. I luckily haven't been sick much at all. The only real sickness feeling was after I took a prenatal but a whole sleeve of saltine crackers cured that right up. I guess you could call my diet a sickness too since for a long time I only wanted fast food. It's disgusting, I know. But what the belly wanted the belly got. I'm really glad I think I'm getting away from that now. I also had a bad habit of whatever was on t.v. I wanted or if someone at work would talk about a certain food then I just had to have it then. Thankfully that's gone away or at least I think so. My food intake has gone down a lot since just a few weeks ago. I don't feel like I need to eat everything on my plate anymore. Dinner can sometimes be a struggle and also brings weird combinations like last night when I ate 2 eggo waffles, cheetos and a bowl of cereal. Cereal, oh cereal. That happens at least twice a day! I was also all alone last night since Justin had to work and who wants to cook for one person? I'm going to be in trouble when he goes to Ranger school and I am all alone for a long time. Who wants to come to Texas and cook for me and keep me company? Angie. Good. Thanks.
It's time for us to go get some fruit snacks. Yes, that is my latest love and go to a Town Hall meeting. What fun!
Town Hall meeting? Who does that?
